O Goddess, Lord Brahma collects the dust below your feet and creates all these worlds (from the dust) to perfection. This creation is then sustained by Lord Vishnu with great effort, with his thousand heads. Lord Shiva destroys all this into a fine powder and smears all over His body as sacred ash.

This shloka conveys certain aspects of creation. Brahma, the creator, is said to use the minutest particles of energy, which after undergoing sustenance (by Lord Vishnu) for a while, return back to dust at the time of Pralaya (by Lord Shiva). Lord Shiva is then said to smear this dust all over His body.

The Yantra and the Beeja mantra for this verse is as follows.

Chanting this shloka in a prescribed way provides the seeker Siddhi, which means that he has control over matter. He would be capable of obtaining materialistic things. He has the choice to obtain inner well-being or Moksha too.

The prescribed method of chanting this shloka is to chant one thousand times daily, for 55 days, to attain Siddhi.
